In the remote mountains of Colorado, horrors await inside Mount Massive Vault. A long-abandoned home for the mentally ill, recently reopened by a branch of the "research and charity" multinational Murkoff, the refuge operates in strict secrecy... still.
Acting on a tip from an anonymous source, independent journalist Miles Upshur breaks into the premises, and what he discovers runs a terrifying line between science and religion, nature and something else entirely. Once inside, his only hope of escape lies in the scary truth at the heart of Mount Massif.
