Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria follows the Dwarves as they embark on a new adventure to reclaim their legendary Moria home beneath Misty Mountains. Players will join forces to survive, create, build and explore iconic, sprawling mines. Bold expeditions must be vigilant, as mysterious dangers await.

Surviving in the Dark: To survive in Moria´s treacherous mines, players must conserve resources, hunt and gather for food, and manage their sleep, temperature, and noise levels. Use dynamic light systems for safety and pave the way further in the dark. Fight unspeakable atrocities and survive hordes of monstrous orcs in visceral combat, unlocking the mystery of the Shadow that looms inside the mountain.
Base building: Find comfort from the darkness. Uncover and clean new locations to create architecture at scale. Create and build from scratch or from an existing environment. Beware of evils that seek to destroy the progress of the Dwarves.
Restore and change Moria: Restore the long-lost ancient kingdom of Khazad-dum to its former glory, restoring dwarf landmarks as history progresses. Resurrect old mines and recycle their forges to get their pristine resources.
Explore: Delve into the depths of Moria´s mines. Procedurally generated environments are teeming with resources and fraught with mystery and danger, providing a unique experience every time.
Cooperative multiplayer: Adventure alone or group with friends in online cooperative multiplayer up to eight players.
Craft Dwarven Tools, Weapons and more: Craft and Loot legendary Gnomes armor, tools, weapons and structures. Restore ancient forges to strengthen, repair and charm equipment. Updating and unlocking new technologies and fantastic machines.
Discover magical artifacts: Discover ancient magical objects, including swords that glow when the orcs are nearby, maps of Mitril´s long-dormant veins, books with forgotten crafting plans, and amulets that provide power or wisdom.
Ore ore and jewels: setting up mines to develop deposits of valuable resources such as iron, gold and quartz; and fantastic materials such as Mithril. Access to craft mills and forges to convert ore into ingots and upgrade equipment. But be prepared, mining is loud and can awaken what is hidden in the darkness.
Comprehensive Dwarf Builder: Players become part of Dwarven Legend when they create their own Dwarf in a custom character creator. Dwarves can be tuned in various ways to create a unique dwarf personality. Then, during gameplay, players can find and create armor and weapons to further enhance their unique style.
