Far Cry Primal will transport you to the Stone Age, when humans were definitely not at the top of the food chain. During the day, danger lurked around every corner, and night brought new horrors. It is in the wild land of Oros that you meet Takkar, the sole survivor of an ambush on his hunting party. Alone in a treacherous world, Takkar will face massive mammoths, ferocious saber-toothed tigers, hostile bands of rival hunters, and countless other threats as he attempts to reunite his lost tribe.

Like any good hunter, Takkar possesses a wide range of survival skills, including the ability to craft tools and weapons from the bones of the animals he kills and resources he gathers in the wild. This is important not only for his own safety from predators (both human and animal), but also for maintaining the security of his tribe. Takkar will need to carefully guard his young group to ensure their survival and growth.

Like all previous Far Cry games, Far Cry Primal takes place in a vast open world, and Takkar´s adventure will take him through a variety of landscapes, from swamps to redwood forests. When dusk falls on Oros, fire may be all that separates Takkar from a particularly harsh environment. Whether it´s a blade of teeth or a jagged spearhead, the use of fire is perhaps as important, if not more important, than the weapons Takkar crafts. Besides using it for protection at night, he can use it for additional tactical options when attacking beasts or infiltrating enemy outposts.
