You begin the game as an inmate in a super-maximum security prison on SCUM Island, which is under the watchful eye of the insidious TEC1 corporation. Travel across rolling plains, dense forests, and dense wilderness of the island, using your skills and wits to survive.

In this incredibly realistic simulator, every detail matters. Watch your diet and disinfect your wounds to stay healthy and alive. Attack other players or join them to search for resources and upgrade your weapons and equipment. Unleash your creativity with an advanced base and fortification building system that will allow you to create a truly impenetrable fortress.

Other prisoners, bloodthirsty robots, or sinister "puppets" hovering between life and death—almost all the island´s inhabitants want to kill you. Your possessions are meager, and every action will be difficult. Basically, newcomers don´t last long here.

Oh, and I almost forgot: you´re not just a prisoner. TEC1 broadcasts all the victories and failures of the inhabitants of SCUM Island for the amusement of millions who love scenes of bloody carnage. So smile—you´re being filmed.
