XCOM 2 is the sequel to the critically acclaimed strategy game XCOM: Enemy Unknown, which won Game of the Year in 2012.

Earth has changed. Twenty years have passed since world leaders signed the act of unconditional surrender to the aliens. XCOM, Earth´s last line of defense, has been destroyed, its remnants scattered across the globe. In XCOM 2, aliens rule the planet, building glittering cities and promising humanity a bright future. However, the aliens secretly harbor sinister plans and destroy all who refuse to live by the new rules.

Only those living on the outskirts of the new world retain a shred of freedom. They are gathering strength to fight back against the invaders.
