What is WAW
WAW is a unique step -by -step historical strategy in the spirit of board games. Its task is to show all wars and conflicts in this world (and even in others) from prehistoric times to the present day. There are world wars and single conflicts. Also, scenarios that relate to fictional events, alternative history and fantasy or science fiction are possible here. The key to such a variety is a single system of rules for all cases. Why? We want players, having studied the rules of the game once, can easily use them in any scenario in order to feel comfortable and not waste time studying new rules every time you choose a new script. For example, the battle screen is similar in all scenarios, and its understanding does not require almost no adaptation, which allows you to better enjoy the game! To read the secondary elements and rules characteristic of the selected scenario, you need only a few minutes and you can start the game! The main characteristics includes: the game is playful (I Go U GO), in which each player takes any side (the side can include more than one nation).
The map is divided into many regions with different types of terrain, sometimes they have objects (ports, fortresses, airports ...) and a potential source of income if necessary.
When maintenance is required, the purchase of troops or new events, a simple earnings system is activated.
Combat units can be land, air and naval. For example, infantry, cavalry, artillery, armored vehicles, partisan detachments, submarines, aircraft carriers, helicopters, fighters, bombers, air defense or even elephants, siege vehicles, etc. For convenience, combat units can be combined into groups.
Leaders play a decisive role in the game, because they have 3 main tasks: the first - they give the detachment the bonus to the main characteristics, the second - the meaning of their morality affects the conditions on which the victory depends, and, finally, it is impossible to attack the enemy without them.
Two opposing detachments in the same region begin the battle, which occurs on the semi -tiebal battlefield and lasts 2 rounds. The game automatically calculates various bonuses and fines of each side, their corresponding levels of morality, allows you to play the maps of events that each player pulls at the same time (in most cases). Losses in the form of panic (flight) or damage are taken into account. The level of morality, which is affected by losses or panic, can lead to flight, persecution and breakthrough.
Each round is provided to opponents many events. Maps can affect all aspects of the game, such as the conclusion of unions, income, movement, weather conditions, command, quantity and quality of troops, and, of course, many tactical aspects of battles. This gives unpredictability and diversity, which increases the fascination of the game.
The scale of the game changes changes depending on the script. A land unit’s land can be one small battalion or an entire army. The region can be several square kilometers, a whole country or continent. In the same way, one move can last from a couple of hours to several years! The collection of the Wawwo represents its scenarios in two collections: Classic (a short time of the game, one hundred units, two or three dozen cards, a playing field with a size of two screens) and expanded (approximately twice as much as Classic on all planes).
