ABOUT THIS GAME
Wings of Vi is a challenging 2D platformer where you play as the angel Vi, who is tasked with defeating the Demon Lord Jehul after he is freed from captivity. Throughout her journey, she must traverse dangerous worlds and battle countless hellspawn to discover where Jehul is hiding and save the world from his demonic grasp.
The game takes inspiration from Megaman, Cave Story, and Castlevania, as well as a host of masochistic retro platformers, while cutting out the arbitrary difficulty of hidden traps and pixelated jumps in favor of skill-based gameplay. The game aims to appeal to the same core group of players as its spiritual predecessor, I Wanna Be the Boshy, including hardcore platformers and the speedrunning community, while also appealing to a wider audience with varying difficulty levels and modifiers.

Wings of Vi is an action platformer that takes the best of old-school platformers while removing much of the arbitrary difficulty they brought. That being said, you will die. A lot. But don’t let that put you off! There are three different difficulty levels and several hidden modifiers catering to different audiences, so you’re sure to find a difficulty level that’s right for you.
Intense Boss Fights
Fight your way through treacherous terrain and fiendish enemies before facing epic bosses. Battle a hulking satirist, a giant dreadnought, a possessed angel, and more in tough-as-nails encounters.
