Windward was originally conceived as a fully procedural cooperative game that can be played alone, but it truly comes to life when played with friends. Start by creating a procedural world that will be unique to you, create your own faction, and then sail forward, fighting pirates, trading with cities, completing quests or just exploring - it´s up to you to decide how you want to play.
As you sail, you will find resources you can use, upgrades for your ship, new cities that will ask for your help, and as you move further away from the starting area, various pirates who will try to take what is rightfully yours. Combat experience will allow you to unlock new talents and abilities to make this particular job easier.
