16.1 When determining nickel in wastewater using the comparison method, the analyzed solution was concentrated 5 times. The atomic absorption of this solution at 324.8 nm is 12 units of the instrument scale. To prepare a standard solution, a sample of metallic nickel weighing 1.0030 g is dissolved in 25 cm3 of nitric acid (1:1) and diluted in a measuring flask to 1000 cm3 with distilled water. The standard nickel solution has an absorption of 64 units. Determine the concentration of nickel in the wastewater (in g/dm3).
