Ganryu 2 : Hakuma Kojiro is a sequel to the Ganryu game created by VISCO on NEOGEO in 1999. The game takes place in feudal fantasy Japan, inspired by the story of Takezo Musashi, whose adventures unfold in a series of books (mainly "Stone and Sword").You play as Miyamoto Musashi, traveling through fantasy Japan of the 17th century, from north to south, to the island of Ganryujima, where it all began...
Plot:After defeating Kojiro, Musashi decided to indulge in reflection and try his hand at art in the north of Japan, in the province of Hokkaido. During one of his meditations, a spirit addressed him: "Miyamoto Musashi, our fight is not over yet, I am waiting for you to end our battle once and for all! The whole of Japan will pay for the insult inflicted on me! I´m waiting for you, Miyamoto Musashi!"
For Musashi, there was no doubt that the voice belonged to Sasaki Kojiro. His body was defeated, but his spirit remained, and his intentions are still destructive. Then Miyamoto Musashi realized that he would have to cross Japan from north to south and go to Ganryujima Island, where he defeated Sasaki Kojiro for the first time in order to fight again and free Kojiro´s spirit forever.
