To help, there is an enhancement called "Pulse of Time", in limited quantities. This slows down time temporarily, and if you shoot enemies at that time, you turn them into money. And for each number of bullets destroyed in this way, you get a new Time Boost! It´s good to be pulled out of a difficult situation, and then it gets hard.Once you understand the flow of cycles, you´ll know when it´s best to spend your Pulse of Time, and you´ll start figuring out how to chain them, earn more, move on.
