Humanity has fought the machines before. And lost. AI exterminator squads monitor every planet and wormhole, the few remaining human colonies are trapped in orbital bubbles, and the AI forces have turned their attention beyond this galaxy to a possible threat from without.

This distraction is our only option: a small rebel force remains, too small for the AI central command. This force is yours to command. The AI unit commanders will fight you on sight - but your chance is that you can capture these commanders quietly, without alerting central command.

There are several factors in your favor. Your ships are much faster. You have secure AI programs to automate defenses and erect defensive positions. You have equipment that can take down fully equipped drone fighters in seconds. And while your few thousand ships may not be as numerous as their tens of thousands, careful strategy must ensure that you reach and destroy the heavily guarded AI cores by any means necessary.

Traveling across the galaxy, stealing AI technology, freeing planets from siege - all this is necessary to achieve your goals and save what´s left of humanity. But if you pay too much attention to yourself, the full might of the AI will fall upon you.
