Two transparent plane-parallel plates are folded with their edges. A plate of thickness d1 = 4 cm has a refractive index n1 = 2.0; a plate of thickness d2 = 6 cm has a refractive index n2 = 1.5. A narrow beam of light falls on the first plate at an angle a = 37° to the normal. Find the lateral displacement of the light beam as it enters the air space from the side of the second plate.
