Deuterium D and tritium T nuclei can enter into the reaction D + T -> 4He + n + 17.6 MeV, as a result of which neutrons and alpha particles are formed. Each reaction releases an energy of 17.6 MeV. Determine what energy is carried away by the neutron and what kind of alpha particle. The kinetic energies possessed by the particles before the reaction are negligible.
