The Polish studio Video is responsible for production, but a new developer is Stunlock Studios, which was approached by Deep Silver, which has the rights to the Dead Island brand. The creators gained experience by developing other MOBA games - Bloodline Champions. In the new version of the cycle, it is a combination of a dynamic game with elements of strategy and role-playing game, characteristic of its predecessors.
Dead Island: Epidemic emphasized the possibility of participating in a multiplayer game in which three four-person teams of players compete with each other and fiercely fight waves of zombies in specialized designated areas. Fighting “living” opponents and corpses, including powerful bosses, requires close communication between the participants. Moreover, difficult situations sometimes force cooperation with hostile groups. In classic MOBA games, the goal in Epidemic is not to attack opposition bases, but only to capture and hold control points and complete dynamically changing objectives. A quick game makes it possible to adapt to the difficulties that arise at a given moment in time, since otherwise the situation could end in failure - death or mission failure.
