Welcome to Bahlam, the sunken city of the ancient gods in the South Atlantic Ocean. After surviving a terrible shipwreck, Nikolay Bernstein, a marine archaeologist and adventurer, comes to his senses at a depth of 11,000 meters below sea level. He is seriously injured and, against his will, finds himself connected to a supernatural companion system. Trying to uncover the secrets of what is happening, our hero begins to explore the lost city, gradually realizing that something unprecedented and ominous is watching his every step.

On your way home, you will meet miners from the peaceful Wozan tribe - they fear the ancient gods and dream of returning to the surface since their ancestors were enslaved 5,000 years ago. Some of them were able to escape from their captors and establish secret colonies in the depths of the sunken ruins, while others are still forced to suffer under the yoke of evil hostile creatures that took over the city after the sudden disappearance of the ancient gods.

Experience truly non-linear Metroidvania gameplay, featuring five different game areas filled with puzzles and traps, fearsome boss encounters, and captive Wozan creatures that you must free. Your companion system gradually plots the areas you´ve covered on the map, and its useful abilities—hacking, terrain scanning, and telekinesis—help you control your environment.

Explore Bahlam any way you want - climb, crawl and dive without any restrictions. As you progress, you´ll be able to find ancient weapons, upgrades for your suit, and hacking protocols for your droid—your options will continually expand. All equipment in the game is carefully balanced, and you will have to use it wisely to overcome certain dangers or puzzles.

In co-op mode, you can explore the ancient depths with a friend, who will take control of an invulnerable companion system. Help each other, solve puzzles and escape from the dangerous city of Bahlam. This mode also provides a unique opportunity for team speedrunning of the game.

Outbuddies DX is a modest project with a modest budget, but that doesn´t mean it´s a low-quality game. Pixel graphics scale perfectly to your screen resolution without distortion or interference. The game runs at 60 frames per second. The hybrid physics model provides realistic handling of object acceleration and motion, while maintaining the flawless control precision of old classic games. The artificial intelligence of enemies and bosses makes them very dangerous opponents who do their job no worse than their counterparts in souls games!
