5. In standard solutions of cadmium sulfate with different activity of Cd2, the electrode potentials of the cadmium selective electrode relative to the silver chloride electrode were measured and the following data were obtained:
a Сd2 , mol/l 10-1 10-2 10-3 10-4 10-5
-E, mV 75.0 100 122 146 170
Based on these data, a calibration graph was built in the coordinates E - paSd2. The studied solution of cadmium salt with a volume of 5 ml was diluted with water in a volumetric flask and the electrode potential of the cadmium selective electrode in the resulting solution was measured Ex = -87 mV. Determine the activity (mol/l) of the studied cadmium salt solution.
