When polarizing a solution of indium salt against a background of 1 M potassium chloride solution using a mercury drop electrode in the potential range of -0.550 to -0.675 V, the following data were obtained: the limiting diffusion current is 35.0 μA, the strength of the diffusion current corresponding to the potentials of the ascending part polarogram is 2.36 μA at E = -0.574 V and 30.2 μA at E = -0.612 V. Calculate, using the polarographic wave equation, the half-wave potential and the number of electrons involved in the process.
