2. As a result of the reaction of formaldehyde with hydrogen peroxide, formic acid is formed:

If you mix equal volumes of a 1 M peroxide solution and a 0.01 M formaldehyde solution, then after 45 minutes the concentration of formic acid becomes 0.00215 mol/L. Determine the rate constant of the reaction and the half-life.
