24. During chromatography (in order to select an internal standard for the determination of vitamin E) by capillary GLC of a mixture of vitamin E, squalane, sebacate and cetyl palmitate using a glass chromatographic column with a length L = 20 m, the following characteristics of the peaks on the chromatogram were obtained ( l - retention distance, h and a1/2 - peak height and half-width):

Mixture component l, mm h, mm a1/2, mm
Squalane 19 177 1
Sebacate 26 179 1
Vitamin E 62 185 1.8
Cetyl palmitate 93 160 2.4
Calculate the degree of separation Rs of squalane, sebacate and cetyl palmitate with vitamin E and the mass fraction W (in percent) of each component in the mixture (using the method of internal normalization).
Answer: squalane: Rs= 15.4, W= 16.50%; sebacate: Rs=12.9, W=16.68%; cetyl palmitate: Rs=7.4, W=35.79%; vitamin E: W- 31.03%.
