In a slightly acidic medium, ascorbic acid is oxidized on a platinum microelectrode at a half-wave potential of 0.5 V. The dichromate ion is not reduced under these conditions. Draw polarograms of the reactants and an amperometric titration curve for ascorbic acid at E = 0.9 V (reaction products are electrically inactive).
