The Gloomy and Sinister is the first Lords pack for Total War: WARHAMMER. Expanding the possibilities of the Empire and the Vampire Counties, it adds two famous characters and a range of iconic units from the Warhammer Fantasy Battles universe to campaigns and battles.
Intent on plunging the Empire into eternal darkness, the cunning and ruthless midnight aristocracy has summoned new nightmarish creatures. The terrible strigi - the ancient kings of ghouls - crawl out of their catacombs at the smell of blood, and Gelman Gorst, the most sinister of Manfred´s students, put aside his studies to prepare new corpse carriers for battle.
But the proud people of the Empire do not give up. In this difficult hour, all eyes are focused on Volkmar the Grim - the Great Theogonist of the Sigmarites. Pious, stern and completely devoted to Karl Franz, Volkmar calls upon his archlectors and rushes into battle on the war altar of Sigmar, filling the unbeatable hearts of the undead with terror.
